We are incredibly grateful to share that our book Nature-Inclusive Urban Development has officially gone to its second press!
When we first published this book at nai010 publishers, we hoped it would spark meaningful action. We could never have foreseen that the Dutch edition would sell out in just one day and receive such an overwhelming wave of positive responses.
Seeing that the English edition also sold out its first print run and is heading back to the printing press is a clear signal that we are ready for real, actionable solutions to bring biodiversity into our cities. We are no longer just asking why we need nature, but we are actively figuring out how to integrate ecological necessity with housing development and public health to sustain a growing population.

We look back at the first European eco-districts and examine what the concept has delivered for residents and nature.
In the words of Cecil Konijnendijk (creator of the 3-30-300 rule), who wrote the foreword: “The call for more nature in our cities is growing even louder. This important book offers inspiration for the practical realization of nature-inclusive cities. It shows how points systems and guidelines can help in operationalizing nature-inclusive urban development”.
